sky lanterns. today i saw the hangover part 2 and though it was formulaic, it was hilarious. at the end of the movie they released these gorgeous fire lanterns into the sky - it was the one thing that really stuck with me and now i'm seriously determined to use them in my own wedding! so. pretty.

a simple kitchen
when i saw these images of ashley helvey's perfectly pared down kitchen, i immediately went to my own kitchen to edit, purge and reorganize. wouldn't you love to wake up to this charming space?

fabric and handle
my trusty cognac leather bag is in shambles so im currently shopping around for a replacement. i'm in love with the simplicity of these bags - linen, canvas and leather? yes please. did i mention the leather straps are adjustable too? nooow...which one do i choose?

garden rose
dear friends, i've been m.i.a. recently (and i soooo apologize) so i wanted to pop in to share something that totally brightened a dreary, stormy and grey beginning to the week...
behold...the flower of my dreeeeams...the most deliciously fragrant blush pink garden roses grown in santa rosa by this little lady. thank you silvanie for sharing with me! these lush babies are currently resting on my dining table. yummy. xo

scenes from sunday
ahhhhh sundays...
mine included half of the day spent lounging with jason (which is rare due to his work schedule), multiple recaps of the royal wedding, a leopard print manicure, a hodge-podge arrangement filled with floral from our yard (in my new calypso for target teapot!) and a wonderful evening happy hour with a dear friend including calamari, lemon drops and girl talk.
the weather was absolutely gorgeous here today and we still have our windows open at 10:45 - summer is on its way and i can't wait! hope you had a wonderful weekend - xoxo
