the hubs and i found the most charming little home in sonoma and i'm so excited to announce that we're moving (again) december 1st! the house has a large backyard with planter beds and plenty of space for gardening so i've been looking for inspiration. i'm currently loving all aspects of gardenista - an offshoot of remodelista - from what to plant/when to identifying gorgeous floral arrangements, this is a great guide for tips on honing your little green thumb.

now don't get me wrong...i completely adore shelter/lifestyle glossies and digital magazines. however -- sometimes the actual lifestyles portrayed in these publications feel sliiiiiiiightly out of reach. i believe that style should be attainable at any budget and it bums me out when design is made to feel stuffy, impractical and unlivable. in come brit + co. and clementine daily...two of my new favorite sites to follow because they speak to my "...authentic-sometimes-frenzied-often-harried-but-always-inspired" life. you guys, they're total must reads. trust me.

continuing with my current kinfolk obsession...um...how romantic is this video? complete with keep cups (i heart my keep cup!) i think jason and i might have to hit up abc bakery for pastries, and head down on the napa riverfront to watch the sunrise in the near future...

"group therapy" | decor demon

currently in awe over brian patrick flynn's recent post over at decor demon. with the help of his design team he took five misfit chairs and transformed them into these glossy little gems then paired them with a round table covered in a custom tailored tablecloth. the grand total for the project came to $354 which included all supplies to refinish the chairs, designer fabric and labor for the fabrication of the custom seat cushions and tablecloth. his blog is a must read + i highly recommend you check it out!

i've been incredibly inspired recently by all of the adorable packaging design ideas from danni over at oh, hello friend. the vintage looking paper goods, stickers, twine and embellishments she uses make simple letters so meaningful + heartfelt and i've be dying to find a source for these supplies. nice package is it...they have the best selection of everything from hand-embellished kraft bags and pink linen-print gift boxes to stickers + gift tags and beautiful ribbon/twine options. i think i'm going to stock up and start mailing off personalized notes to friends + family. xoxo

i've recently added some fantastic blogs to my daily read list for 2010 and i'm so excited! i've been straying from my typical interior design blogs and into the fashion world. when i tell people i went to "design" school they always assume that means fashion and i don't think i'd ever want to design clothes. however...i do find it extra inspiring to see what other girls are wearing + how they put outfits together. these bloggers do an incredible job.
