i just picked up this darling blouse from kohls :)

oxfords

so i recently purchased a pair of cognac oxfords that were extremely affordable and i happen to be very pleased with them! however...i am totally unsure of how to style them. i found this image and i'm totally down with rocking this look, but i need help pairing them with dresses.

is it okay to wear them with a black dress? what color tights can i wear them with? can i go bare legged?

UGH. these shoes are taking me out of my usual flats/sandals comfort zone and i need your genius bloggy fashion advice! :)

stylish aprons

as many of you know...i've just started a new job as a floral designer. my first day went amazingly well and i've already learned quite a few things - tomorrow i'm learning boutonnière's and on saturday i'm helping install two weddings in the valley! one thing i know i definitely need to invest in is a cute/durable apron. i've scoured the internet and anthropologie seems to have the most adorable selection. here are my faves...

the boyfriend blazer

if you're looking for a seriously chic blazer this fall...look no further. i just purchased this beauty from american eagle (i know right?! i haven't shopped there since senior year in high school) and i am so ridiculously pleased. it's extra long and the sleeves are cut just a bit short of the wrist - it's polished, professional and perfect for spiffing up even the most casual ensemble (i.e. i wore it with a white vneck and cut off shorts over the weekend). i highly recommend...

forest green

after recently browsing the september issues of multiple fashion magazines, the reoccurring trend i noticed was tones of grey, camel and forest/olive green. i'm totally on board with wearing and living with these colors and my first step was to purchase a fab new polish for my pedicures. "morbid" by wet n wild is only $1.99 - once it dries it takes on a blackish hue which i like (so i don't feel like an 8 year old girl) and it looks surprisingly chic peaking out of my new clogs. in short...morbid is sinful and dark and absolutely delicious. i highly recommend :)

i am completely in love with this sweet dandelion fluff dress from modcloth. wouldn't it be the perfect alternative to the traditional wedding dress? (le sigh)

i need a vacation...

i am SO ready for some relaxation time...i've been counting down the days until my 12 day oregon trip this july for my lovely cousin's wedding and i've even started planning outfits (seriously...now can you tell i need a vacation???)

if you followed last week i was having trouble deciding on which pretty romper to purchase for my travels and i ended up going with this one from ruche. here is an outfit i've put together that i plan to wear to the bridesmaid luncheon and wedding rehearsal the day before the wedding. what do you think? i haven't purchased the linen blazer or necklace yet...

so indecisive...

this july i'm making a trip to oregon for a week long celebration including a bachelorette party, a night of dinner + dancing, a bridesmaid luncheon and the trip will end with my cousin's wedding. i'm so excited!

i'm already trying to plan what i'll pack and i've decided that a romper will be one of my key pieces during this little getaway...but i have yet to purchase one. i feel like i need one with a higher waist (i have a shortish torso) and i've narrowed it down to a few options, but i need your advice - please help me decide???
