THE DESK

i just moved into a new apartment and i have been searching for a stylish little desk that won't take up too much space. after a million internet searches i think i have found what i am looking for. the simplest parsons mini desk from west elm. it is so basic, yet so clean and sophisticated & i am so exited about the cute little drawer and the sleek lacquer finish! i think i'll have to make a trip to west elm very soon!

as hard as it is to believe, october is just around the corner and i can't wait! #1 fall is my favorite season. #2 i am a huge fan of the starbucks pumpkin spice latte. #3 its when the new lauren conrad collection hits kohls stores nationwide! we have a new store opening in napa around the same time and i can't wait to see what the lovely line will include. with prices between $20 and $60 i will definitely be purchasing some key pieces for the wardrobe.

LOVELY LIGHT

so i have recently started a new job working for a lighting boutique called lunaria who also offers design services for hospitality and residential clients through their design firm jessica hall associates. i've only worked three days so far, but i am just loving it. i am being introduced to so many new and unique lighting lines, most from europe and a few of them are only carried in our shop! how incredible! so far my favorites are baga and terzani.

today was the first sunday i've had off in quite sometime. it was amazing. after attending a friends college graduation party in the morning, i spent the afternoon laying by the pool soaking in the sun and enjoying the company of great friends. [sigh.] how relaxing. now i feel refreshed for the week ahead...p.s. happy father's day!

the love shop

as i was blogging this evening i came across a post from decor8 about the love shop on etsy and i fell in love. the prints all have such positive messages, i'm especially obsessed with the "do what you ♥" print. the prices are great and they can custom size the prints for you too! as jj says, "make it your mantra to do what you love and be happy!"

p.s. ikea

the ps collection from ikea is fabulous. especially loving the pendant light that looks just like a dandelion. i would be delighted to have this light suspended above a pretty round dining table. [sigh] someday.
