housekeeping with style: dish soap

during a recent trip to costco we purchased a one gallon bottle of environmentally friendly, citrus scented dish soap. when we got home i realized that a one gallon jug is a bit unpractical...so i went off to the thift shop in search of a pretty, inexpensive bottle. i snagged this recycled glass beauty for $2.49, went home and filled it with soap. now i'm ready to wash dishes (a sink full to be exact) in style!

bits of joy

- facetime with my dear cousin
- homemade naan bread pizzas + red wine (recipe to come)
- fresh herb bouquets at work
- snuggles with our little nuggets

once upon a time...

...i had a little blog. in this blog i wrote about life, design and all kinds of pretty things. then i took an unintentional leave of absence...we're talking months...like a february to august kind of leave of absence.

how to create loose curls

just found this little tutorial via mandy's blog and i. am. stoked. my go to hairstyle for the past year has been the top knot and as much as i love the ease and quickness...it's getting boring. i've always wanted to achieve those beautiful bouncy waves but i haven't known how. i'll be testing this out today and i'll be back with results!

gardenias

during a grocery run at our neighborhood safeway i was (beyond) pleasantly surprised when i found a bucket of gardenias - five gardenia stems for $7. siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. i snapped them right up and this weekend i've been happily enjoying their delicious fragrance throughout our living room. hope you're having a wonderful weekend! xo
